Standing Committee For Construction

Representatives from ARGE, along with 40 other national delegates and construction experts, joined a hearing of the Standing Committee for Construction in Brussels. 

Lead by Tapani Mikkeli,  head of sector for Sustainable Construction of the European Commission, DG Enterprise & Industry, the committee were presented with a revised version of Annex III of the Construction Products Regulation, which is the template for a DoP. 

That draft was widely discussed by the experts in attendance. Commenting on some of the points of discussion, Joachim Kieker, ARGE General Secretary, said: “The revised version of the CPR had some notable changes, namely the former request to define “type, batch or serial number” of a product has been deleted in the new model. In addition some of the headings have been changed, inline with declared performances and references.”

The committe will reconvene on September 9th and until that date comments can be made, and brought into discussion by ARGE. The review will then come into force later in the year.
