With this year’s conference just over a month away, we thought we’d take this opportunity to look at what you can expect from this year’s event.

The invites have been sent and the business and social programme announced, hosted by the DHF in Stratford-upon-Avon in the UK, this year’s ARGE conference is sure to be a memorable one.

As guests arrive at the luxurious Welcombe Hotel, Spa and Golf Club on Thursday 10th September, they will be welcomed by ARGE Chairman Hans Weissenbock and DHF CEO Bob Perry, after enjoiyng a buffet lunch.

The first afternoon includes a packed schedule of presentations, including a lecture on BIM from Peter Caplehorn at the CPA and an update on ARGE’s EPD progress. During the EPD update, delegates will hear from Lionel Meleton, Project Manager at CETIM on the technical background and project status, ARGE board members will present the roll out plans and an industry representative will discuss its benefits to the industry.

Following a coffee break the first day’s business programme will conclude with the open general meeting and a presentation from Paul Browne, Business Development Director at ASSA ABLOY on developments within the hardware industry.

Whilst the business programme covers a range of topics, partners can also enjoy the many sights and activities the area has to offer. They may wish to join the open top bus tour, which takes in many historical sights including Anne Hathaway’s Cottage  and the Royal Shakespeare Theatre.

After a packed day everyone will be able to relax and enjoy a Tudor feast at Sulgrave Manor, complete with live entertainment.

Having covered the extensive business programme on Thursday, Friday will see an opporutnity for all delegates to enjoy Stratford-upon-Avon and its surrounding areas, inlcuding an excursion to the Land Rover factory or Warwick Castle.

To round off what is expected to be one of ARGE’s most successful confreneces, the event will conclude with a river cruise and dinner on the River Avon.

It’s not too late to register for the conference and with such a varied social programme and in depth business seminars, it’s an event you can’t afford to miss.
